PUTTING
ST. GEORGE FAMILIES FIRST.
MEET DAVID.
David Dellucci was born and raised in East Baton Rouge Parish. He was a multi-sport athlete at Catholic High of Baton Rouge, a record breaking baseball player at Ole Miss, and a 13 year Major League Baseball player and World Series Champion. His MLB career was highlighted by appearing in two World Series, in 2001 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and in 2003 with the New York Yankees. David is currently a baseball television broadcaster for SEC Network and ESPNU and a MLB radio broadcaster for ESPN and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Baseball has not only shaped David's career but also his personal values, which is why youth athletics have always been a central cause for him. For years he has offered free baseball and softball clinics to the youth in the community. He also volunteers as a coach for girls basketball and softball. David believes that athletics are an essential part of growing up, as they teach valuable life lessons about teamwork, discipline, and resilience. If elected, he will advocate for the development of a strong Parks and Recreation Department in St. George so every child in the community has the opportunity to participate in sports and be a part of a team.
In addition to his sports initiatives, David is a dedicated philanthropist. He has founded two charitable organizations and has raised over $250,000 to help others. His charitable work has benefited hurricane victims, law enforcement agencies, injured military veterans, and youth athletic organizations. David’s charity work reflects his deep sense of responsibility and his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
David and his wife are raising their daughter in St. George and are active in the St. George Catholic Church community.

WHY I’M RUNNING
I’m running for City Council because of my daughter—and for the thousands of children like her across St. George. As parents, we have a responsibility to create a city where our children can thrive—one that is safe, welcoming, and full of opportunities. The people of St. George have made it clear: we want a local government that is accountable, transparent, and truly works for the people. I’m committed to helping build that kind of leadership. Our future starts now- let’s make it a future we can all be proud of.
